The Super Cup game of the new season organised by the Cyprus Turkish Football Association (CTFA) took place between the last League Champion Yenicami and the Turkish Cypriot Cup Champion Lefka. The game continued nil-nil till the last minute whereby Yenicami scored a goal on the 90th minute and Lefka scored its own goal during the stoppage time of 3 minutes. With the entering of the Lefka fans into the stadium, the police intervened and the game was paused, continuing afterwards with the final score of 3-1, Yenicami winning against Lefka and taking home the Super Cup.
